Established by the industrialist Gautam Sarabhai and his sister Gira Sarabhai in 1949, the Calico Museum was officially opened by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. You will be amazed by one of the world’s greatest collections of antique and modern Indian textiles, all crafted and handmade up to 500 years old, displayed in this museum. Some incredibly beautiful pieces are there, showing unparalleled brilliance and indulgence. 8. Sabarmati Ashram
